Jeremiah! Realize that even though Grady Jeremiah is at home growing and progressing well, he is still on strict "contact precautions" per doctor's orders.
Because he was born so premature, his immune system is
still developing, which makes him very susceptible to sickness. In addition, his lungs are still not fully developed yet, which increases his susceptibility even more. Even a
very small sickness to us could be very harmful to him and could lead to
significant setbacks in his development.
Until May of 2012, Grady Jeremiah will not be able to go with us to crowded public places like church, fellowship events, restaurants, or even we run errands around town. We are able to have visitors in our home. However, with cold/flu/RSV season upon us, a visit to our home requires a number of important health precautions to be taken. If you are interested in visiting with Grady Jeremiah and with us in our home, please carefully review the follow information that was developed based on the counsel of his doctors and nurses . Thank you for your attention to these important details.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN VISITING GRADY JEREMIAH,
PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THE FOLLOWING STEPS
AND GUIDELINES FOR YOUR VISIT…
(1) YOUR HEALTH
To visit, please make sure you meet all of the following health requirements...
- Be in good health with no current signs of any
type of contagious sickness
- Not have or had any type of upper respiratory
systems, flu or cold symptoms, strep throat, fever, rash, cold sore, nausea,
vomiting, diarrhea, or eye infections during the past 7 days
- Not received a vaccination (including the flu
short/spray) during the past 14 days
- Not be living with or in close association with
a person who has shown any signs of contagious sickness during the past 7 days
- Not been around a person who has rubella,
measles, mumps, chickenpox, shingles, whooping cough, strep throat, pink eye,
or other serious contagious disease during the past 21 days
(2) PLANNING FOR YOUR
VISIT
- Schedule your visit with Grady and Julia in
advance. Click here to contact us to schedule a time.
- No children under age 13 are allowed to visit. If you have younger
children, please make arrangements for their care while you are with us.
- Shower and put on clean clothes immediately prior to coming
to our home. ***
- Come directly to our home from
your home. *** Please do NOT come to visit
after church, work, shopping, or other places where you have been around other people.
(3) YOUR VISIT
- Wash your hands and arms for three minutes when you arrive, followed by the use of hand sanitizing gel.
- Realize that visitors cannot touch or hold Grady
Jeremiah at this time.
